Traveling with your pet this holiday season?  See Dr. Blanton's travel tips on WCBI!  We recommend microchipping your pet prior to travel, making sure they are up to date on all vaccinations and healthy enough for the trip. If you are flying within the USA, your pet will need a Health Certificate within 10 days of travel.  We can help you with that!  Other tips are to take your pet's bedding, food and toys to ensure a comfortable trip and minimize gastric upsets.

On July 20, 2016, Animal Clinic of Columbus donated a Heat Detection System for the Columbus PD Canine unit vehicle.  This unit allows the officer to receive alerts if the vehicle's temperature is too high.  The officer can then remotely turn up the air conditioner or roll down the windows.  In case of pursuit or danger to the officer, the unit also enables the officer to open the door to release his canine partner.

If you live in Columbus or the surrounding area and need a trusted veterinarian to care for your pets – look no further. You will love our Veterinarians Dr. Kerry Blanton, Dr. Tiffany Kay, and Dr. Desiree Cooley. Your pets’ health and well-being are very important to us, and we take every possible measure to give your animals the care they deserve. At Animal Clinic of Columbus, our goal is to enable pets to enjoy longer, healthier lives through preventative medicine, progressive treatment options, client education, ethical care and high quality service.  Which means that we want to be sure you not only enjoy your experience, but that you leave our clinic having learned something about providing the absolute best care possible for your dog or cat!  Of course prevention is the best medicine, but there are times when pets still get sick or have injuries.  We are here to help, providing the most up to date treatment options and diagnostics.  At Animal Clinic of Columbus, we treat your dogs and cats as if they were our own!  Our compassionate staff truly has a passion for caring for your furry (or not so furry) family members.

Animal Clinic of Columbus is a full service veterinary hospital and welcomes both emergency treatment cases as well as routine medical, surgical, and dental care. Dr. Kerry Blanton, Dr. Tiffany Kay, and Dr. Desiree Cooley have years of experience treating serious conditions and offering regular wellness care for your dogs and cats. Beyond first rate pet care, our animal hospital is comfortable, kid-friendly, and calm, so your pet can relax in the waiting room and look forward to meeting our team.

We believe all dogs and cats deserve the very best in veterinary care, which we strive to provide.  Most blood testing can be done in our convenient, state of the art, in-house laboratory.  We have digital x-ray as well as ultrasound capabilities.  A variety of surgical procedures including spay, neuter, tumor removal, dental care and extractions, ear crops, exploratory surgery, biopsy, and wound repair are commonly performed in our surgery suite. In the case of severe orthopedic injury, we highly recommend  Magnolia Veterinary Surgery in Tupelo.  Not only do we care for healthy pets, we also provide hospitalization for critically ill patients.  Boarding services are also available - due to space limitations, we highly recommend a reservation. International Health Certificates for travel or relocation overseas are a specialty service we are happy to provide, along with ISO compatible microchips featuring free lifetime registration.

We are happy to offer a number of resources that enable you to learn how to take the best care of your pets. The best veterinary care for animals is problem prevention, so becoming knowledgeable about preventative pet care is essential to the ongoing success of your animal’s health.
